Chris Cantelmo has spent most of his free time over the last 22 years exploring California and Baja's wilderness, backcountry, and surrounding ocean areas as an avid hiker, mountain biker, and ocean free-diver.  These days, he puts in 90 - 180 miles per week week on California's great mountain biking trails, partially as a contributor to this site and partially as a training regimen for endurance events such as triathlons, Ironman events, and Adventure Racing.
   
Chris has a degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale and recently spent 9 years as co-founder and President of MetaChem Technologies, Inc., a company which created high performance liquid chromatography products for the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.  Chris is currently a business development consultant for technology companies.
